Arancha González serves as Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (ITC), the joint development agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organisation, since September 2013. She also co-chairs the World Economic Forum’s Council on the Future of Trade and Investment.
Ms. González has extensive knowledge about international trade and economics, coupled with broad experience in trade and development in the public and private sectors.
Previously, Ms. González served as Chief of Staff to WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy from 2005 to 2013. She held several positions at the European Commission, conducting negotiations of trade agreements and assisting developing countries in trade-development efforts. She was also the European Commission spokesperson for trade and adviser to the EU Trade Commissioner.see all Speakers
